I know this is another dog picture, but...I was showering this morning, when I turned around and saw that Charlie had pushed aside the shower curtain and was just looking at me. I certainly wasn't expecting that. Here he is back at the scene of the crime. Perve Dog.

A lecture on fighting. Some of the players on Eli's team came very close to fighting at their last game. The Assistant Coach, who wasn't at the game, lectured the players about it. What's ironic about it, is that the coach actually instigated the near fight. Way to model that sportsmanlike behavior. Not!

Blood Drive. My co-worker, Nancy, and I had a competition to see who would finish giving blood faster. She won with a time around 6 minutes. My blood letting took about 9 minutes. The conclusion:  She would bleed to death faster than me.

Last trip of the year. We knew we were taking a risk by not having reservations for Labor Day weekend camping. Our first choice, Lodgepole (they don't take reservations) was full, so we headed up 89 North out of Truckee. We followed a camping sign and found Alder Creek Campground. Luckily Space 10 was available.

Anxiety Wrap. Let's just say that Sophie is a spirited dog. I have tried a lot of different ways to get her to calm down. The various methods tend to work for awhile and then, she becomes immune to them. A friend told me about this Anxiety Wrap. It was relatively inexpensive, so I bought it. It really does calm Sophie down. I don't know how it works, but, for now, it works.

Neither of us felt like swimming, but we were camping at a lake, so we headed down to the water. Eli managed to go all the way in. I managed to go in to my shoulders. Both of us can claim that we swam. After that, a little reading on the beach.

Funeral for a friend. I attended Huie's funeral today. By the end of the day, I realized that I hadn't taken a photo, but I just didn't care. It seemed so insignificant.

Power play. No respectable RV owner should be without a generator. These suckers are so expensive, but as luck would have it, I received an unexpected refund check from my mortgage refinance in almost the exact amount needed to buy one. What else could I do?

Back to the Future boat. I was watching the Giants game this evening, when they showed this cool boat  tooling around McCovey Cove. This became my photo op for the day.

On a very sad note, my friend, Huie, passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. I feel privileged to call him friend and will miss him greatly.
