Sifter. I have a new appreciation for old things. My mom had a sifter like this. It was fun to turn the crank to sift flour for baking. I'm not much of a baker, so I am going to use it as a planter. I'm not much of a gardner either, but plants can be easily replaced. I am an expert at that.

More parts for my entry/hall table. I found this basket at an estate sale liquidator store.* I'm going to attach it underneath the table top. I now have most of the parts to complete my project. Soon...I promise...

*The owner of the store approached me and asked if he could help me find something. I always have such a hard time describing this project. He naturally looked puzzled. I told him that I'm looking for old rusty metal items that could be used as shelves. He still didn't get it. I said I would know what it is when I see it. He finally gave up and left me to wander around. Note to self: Act eccentric if you want to be left alone to shop.

12x12 canvas project. This has been sitting on my craft table for a long time. All the stuff just needs to be glued down. I'm not sure why I don't finish it. I look at it nearly every day and say to myself, "I really need to finish this." Maybe tomorrow.

These metal plaques would make excellent shelves for my entry table. The list price, however, has me looking for alternatives. $32 a piece! Ouch! If I can't find something else that suits me, I might make a lowball offer on these.

Sunday BBQ. I had the kids and some friends over for burgers this evening. I bought a chiminea from Home Depot. It was fun to sit around the fire and chat. I can tell we are going to get a lot of use out of it.

Leonardo's new home. Got together with the Dorais and Rogers families this evening. The Rogers gave the Dorais a turtle to add to their growing family of turtles. Leonardo joins Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo in the giant pond in the Dorais' backyard. He looks like he's waving goodbye or maybe hello.
