I have a confession to make about today. I didn't take a photo. Gasp! My mind was completely occupied by work. Since this blog only matters to me, I am going to forgive myself and take the liberty of posting a picture that I took late yesterday.

This frame is another project that I'm working on. (That makes about 3-4 projects in the works.) This frame is the last of the $2 frames I bought at a garage sale. I slapped on some white paint, leaving some of the brown showing through. It was a little too white, so I threw on some gray. The gray gives it a little green tinge. I like the results. Half of the frame will contain a piece of wood that I painted with chalkboard paint. The other half will have wire strung across similar to the photo frame I made last week. I'll post the results, of course.

Door project- part two. I've decided to transform my glass door into an entry hall table/etagere/hall tree/what not, etc piece of furniture. My plan is to cut these shutters (I found on Craigslist for $15) in half to create the side supports for the table. I can see it clearly in my head, anyway. Now, I need to decide what material to make the table portion out of. I'm thinking metal would be cool.

Oh the possibilities...I bought this door at a little thrift shop today. It could be a giant photo frame. I could add a table to the front and make it an entry table. I could add shelves to it. I'm sure I can come up with something.

I've been busy. After finishing the photo frame yesterday, I decided to put a mirror in another $2 frame. I found a relatively cheap place to buy glass. (Thanks, Pam). The mirror was $21, plus another $5 for the hardware to keep it in place (fingers crossed). I also bought a glass shelf for the antique trunk in to the left. It's nice to accomplish things on my days off.

Homemade "rustic" photo frame. I made a few similar frames as gifts for Christmas, but didn't keep one for myself. I bought this frame at a garage sale for $2 back in January and have been meaning to make myself one. The hardest part in the process was trying to get the wire strung evenly. Since I wasn't 100% successful on that task, I'm going to say that the crooked wire makes the frame look rustic; therefore was done on purpose.

Another awesome find. I found this little wooden welcome sign at, of all places, Kohl's. It needs a little repairing, but I couldn't pass it up because of the price. Would you believe 34 cents? Actually, 24 cents after the 30% coupon.

Bad driver. I was exiting the freeway the other day. This lady insisted on passing me on the right, even though her lane was ending. I had to hit the brakes. This is why it is bad to do stuff like that. We ended up at the stop light right next to each other. I was giving her the stink eye, but she ignored me, so I shot her...picture.
